The Chianti region of Tuscany extends from the city of Siena in the south to Florence in the north. Between those two cities, vines of Sangiovese grow on high hills where the intense summer heat is kept in check by the cool mountain air. Harvest occurs when the grapes are fully ripe and ready to produce a wine with body, freshness and classic aromas of red cherries, leather and spice.
