Churton’s distinct hillside vineyard is located above the Waihopai Valley in New Zealand and was planted in 2000 with a European approach. The winery manages the vineyard according to the principles of biodynamics and organics. Their Sauvignon Blanc is hand harvested from 10 unique blocks of vines. 2015 was a very good year with low yields producing an aromatic wine. The wines palate is creamy with layers of stone fruit, minerals and citrus fruit with a fun finish that highlights notes of spearmint.
