Founded in 1875, Weingut Robert Weil is considered to be one of the Rheingau’s younger wine estates. It’s located in the heart of Kiedrich, a village first documented in the year 950 within the Rheingau region. The character of Robert Weil Rieslings are marked by the mineral-rich soils of the estate vineyards.
Riesling tends to be the grape that people shy away from due to the wide range of styles. They can be dry, off dry and sweet. This Riesling Trocken, (key word Trocken; German for dry) is a great introduction into a dry style of a Riesling. Medium-bodied with a mineral, stony richness and lively acidity. Very good depth, elegant harmony and some real minerality that carries through to a zippy finish.
