Winemaker Sergio Arcuiproduces incredibly sophisticated natural wines in miniscule quantities from Calabria’s star black grape, Gaglioppo. Cirois a small town in Calabria and Sergio and his family own 3.7 hectarsin the heart of the region. Maceration and fermentation is done in cement tanks and the wine matures on it’s lees for 6 months. Ruby red in color, aromas of licorice, anise, prunes and red fruit. Medium-bodied, with notes of cherry, red currants and a hint of earth. Only 175 cases produced.
