In 1788 upon conviction, British rogues, guilty of at least one of the 19 crimes, were sentenced to live in Australia, rather than death. For the prisoners who made it to shore, they forged a new country and new lives. This Shiraz-dominated red blend celebrates the rules they broke and the culture they built. On the nose, ample cranberry, currant, plum, and cherry mix with vanilla and cinnamon spice. The same flavors are evident in the mouth, with some licorice root and smooth, earthy tannins.
