Irpinia is a broad, historic region in Campania, Italy where Aglianico is native to. Benito Ferrara’s vineyards are planted at high elevation that produces a serious, yet very approachable Aglianico. There’s a ripe, crunchy fruitiness, with aromas of blackcurrant, cherry, plum, chocolate, clove, and pepper. Structure by lively acidity and firm tannins, this is a great introduction to the Aglianico grape.
