Now this is a fun wine. A distant cousin of the Malbec varietal, Pied de Perdix was a forgotten grape varietal. A small vineyard was founded just south of Cahors, France and Lionel Osmin revived the vineyard and began producing a wine with 100% Pied de Perdix. In style, this wine, all fruit and firm tannins, has much in common with a lighter Cahors. The black fruits are bold, well etched and are all ready to be consumed young.
